Leave Lot Behind

Genesis 11:31

31 And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran his son's son, and Sarai his daughter in law, his son Abram's wife; and they went forth with them from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan; and they came unto Haran, and dwelt there.

God wanted Abram to leave his family and go on to Canaan and start his good life he has promise him..God told him, I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.

God told him to leave everything behind and depend on him..But..Lot went with him...

I'm sure Abram treated Lot like a son and love him as well..knowing Sara had no children..took Abram heart and he let Lot go with him..

But that was not God plans..see that what we do sometime trying to fix things our way by being a Lot along and God saying Not too!!!

That holds up the works of God's plans in our lives by bring a Lot along...

Are we like Abram...? Do we hold on to things that really doesn't matter. And say okay!!!and welcome it..when God tell us to get away from these matters but we hold on to our on directions and bring a Lot with us..

"God Want Us To Be Free Of These Things....And Stop Looking For A Place For Lot."

1.Bad Jobs / It Pay The Bills

2.Friends / Doing Ungodly Things

3.Love of Money/ Making It Your God

4.Churches / Don't Teach The Right Messages

5.Relationships / Fighting And Not Happy

Not fully understanding what God tell us.. we bring Lot along..And not listening to God instructions.

And the land was not able to bear both Abram And Lot.that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

"See the Point Was Made ...Don't Bring A Lot With You...Leave Him Behind..."

Genesis 12:1-4

12 Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

God wanted Abram to leave his family and get on to cannon and fulfill the destiny of his plans

Whenever someone changes or add to God plans and go out on there note..look what happen;

And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.

Genesis 13:6-11

6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.

8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.

9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.

10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.

"And God's Plans When Forward When Abram And Lot Separated..."

When we separated from our Lot thing will start to look so much better and we will feel that freedom of peace God has for us..

MAP OF THE JOURNEYS OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB

History of the Journeys of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Abraham, originally Abram, was called by God to leave his father Terah's house and native city of Ur of the Chaldees in return for a new land, family and inheritance in Canaan, the Promised Land.

Abraham, with Terah (Abraham's father), Sarah (Abraham's wife) and Lot (Abraham's nephew), then departed for Canaan, but settled at first in a place named Haran, until Terah died.

When Abraham arrived in the land of Canaan there was a severe famine, so Abraham and his household, journeyed down to Egypt, before coming back and settling in Canaan.

Isaac was the only son Abraham had with his wife Sarah; he was the husband of and Rebekah and the father of the twin brothers Jacob and Esau. He was the only biblical patriarch who did not journey out of Canaan.

Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born and Sarah was past 90.

Jacob had twelve sons and at least one daughter, by his two wives, Leah and Rachel, and by their handmaidens Bilhah and Zilpah and they became the patriarchs of the twelve tribes of Israel.
